Trustee, Chairman of Physical Facilities Committee, Member of Board of Appeals, Personnel Committee

My husband Steve and I have been residents of Ephraim, and owners of the Village Green Lodge on Cedar Street, for the past 10 years. We have been married for 33 years and have 2 sons. Prior to living in Ephraim, we worked in the Milwaukee area, and lived in Colgate, Wisconsin. For 20 years I worked at Security Bank, the last 10 years as assistant vice president and regional manager for 10 branch locations.

I have always felt that it is important to be a responsible and supportive corporate partner in the community in which I live.  I have been an active board member of the Ephraim Business Council for the past 10 years, serving in various positions from president to treasurer.  I have a strong commitment to preserving the natural beauty, and historic charm of the village, while being open to controlled economic growth.

Village Board of Trustee, Chairperson of Community Protection Committee, Chairperson of Ephraim Library Committee, Physical Facilities Committee Member, Personnel Committee Member,

Although I fell in love with Door County and Ephraim in 1964, I did not become a resident until 2000. It has been a joy and a challenge working to maintain the historical integrity of the Village, yet allow progress so the village can continue to prosper.

My original reasons for running for the board were and continue to be the same. They are listed below:

·         To be of service to my community.

·         To help find a balance between securing Ephraim's future and protecting Ephraim's past and treasured resources.

·         To keep the Ephraim Library open so it can continue to provide valuable services for our citizens, our visitors, and our community.

However, I have added a fourth. It is as follows:

·         To be cognizant of the taxpayers money and spend it wisely.

At times it can be difficult or unpopular to stand-up for what I believe to be good for the village and its taxpayers, however I will continue to do so. I truly believe that I have been elected to represent the taxpayers of this village and will continue to support issues that I feel are in the best interest of the entire village. I pledge to you that I will continue to face each vote with an open mind and keep only Ephraim's best interest at heart. I am always open to a healthy discussion on any or all of the issues that you might have. Please feel free to contact me.
